Not one Note Falls Flat

Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.” Joshua 21:45

God never fails

This year’s choir theme, “Not One Note Falls Flat” draws its inspiration from Joshua 21:45 and aligns beautifully with the Cathedral’s overarching theme, “God Never Fails.” Just as every promise God made to Israel was fulfilled without exception, every note in a well-prepared choir contributes meaningfully to the beauty and harmony of the song.

In music, a flat note can disrupt harmony and diminish the intended message. Likewise, God’s works and promises are never deficient, delayed, or incomplete. He performs His word with perfect faithfulness. Not one promise falls flat; not one purpose of God fails.

For the choir, this theme is both an encouragement and a challenge. It calls every member to faithfulness, excellence, and unity in ministry. Each voice matters, and every note must be offered as an act of worship to God. When choir members sing with dedication and dependence on God, they reflect His perfect
nature and unwavering faithfulness.

As we minister throughout the year, we pray that our songs will testify that God never fails. May our worship be marked by precision, passion, and purpose, declaring to all who hear us that the God who fulfilled every promise in Joshua’s day remains faithful today. Indeed, with God, not one note falls flat, and not one promise fails.
